What are Terpenes, anyway?
Terpenes are, in layman’s terms, the “essential oils” of cannabis. They are what holds each strain’s specific aroma and what interacts with cannabinoid receptors to enhance the intended effect. Up until approximately the last 5 years, patients walking into dispensaries were only interested in Indica versus Sativa, and THC levels. While theses are important for potency and classification, by diving deeper into the make up of each cannabis strain we can genuinely right-fit our patients.
